LAFHAS Annual Application Form

The Department of Education provides financial assistance to eligible Queensland families, who do not have reasonable daily access to a Queensland Government school with the relevant school year level.

Student must be boarding away from home and be attending an approved boarding school with the required school year levels.

Benefits are not available retrospectively for previous years.

The Information Guide is required to be read prior to completing an Application Form.

Due to the high volume of applications we receive from December to March each year, there can be up to a six/eight week turn around on payments during this time.

Closing Date

Submit by 31st December within the year of application.

Returning users will have their approved data from the previous year available to copy and resubmit (excluding students that were in year 12) - using this function may speed up the process for payment.

New registration is a multistep process and requires a valid, accessible email address.
